A new venue had to be sourced for the 2011 event, which will be the new Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. As has been the case for the
last few years they will depart from Pick & Pay (a long standing sponsor of Toy Run®) William Moffet on a mass ride to the
stadium. This is always a highlight with great support of the public lining the route.
In the early stages of the Toy Run® Midnight Motorcycle Club and Zwartkops Round Table 195 (Round Table is still heavily involved)
did all the organizing of the event themselves. In 1993 Round Table decided to get involved with the Toy Run® on a national basis.
After the phenomenal growth of the event after 15 years, in 2006 other motorcycle clubs were involved to assist with the event.
These included Equilibrium, Doobie Brothers, Independent Riders and Christian Motorcycle Clubs. The Toy Run® is now the largest
motorcycling-related charity event in Southern Africa and arguably the world. A Toy Run® is held in over nineteen centers in the
Southern African region every year.

We are trying to make 2011 extra special and have invited the Executive Mayor Zanoxolo Wayile to lead the procession on his bike.
This will be a first in South Africa. We are very pleased to announce that he has agreed in principle and he has diarized the
date. AlgoaFM our media sponsor will be in full attendance at the event.

Although the mass ride and after party is a highlight for the bikes, the main aim of the Toy Run® is the children. The children’s
party on the Saturday is the highlight for the underprivileged children of the city. Back in 1992 the Toy Run® PE to plan a party
for underprivileged children in PE and continued to do so year after year. This year three hundred children are due to enjoy a
fun, jam packed children’s party. The party will take place on Saturday 26 November at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium and the
committee is requesting individuals and companies to come forward and sponsor towards the children’s celebration. Catering and
providing a gift per child costs around R150. Donations of any kind towards this event in helping the committee to help the
children have a memorable experience will be welcomed.

The other main aim of the event is to raise money for needy charities that are mainly involved with children. Recent recipients
include amongst other in 2010 recipients were Daily Bread Feeding Scheme, Coega Door of Hope, Food for Friends, Jubilee Park
School, Laerskool Innes, Laphumilanga, while in 2009 it was the Oliver Foundation, Aids Haven, Parish of the Zwartkops River
Valley. This is done by means of a big raffle. Raffle tickets are currently being sold at Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarket and Pick ‘n Pay
Uitenhage on weekends from 15 October. Just look out for the mean looking bikers (they are actually cuddly teddy bears). Tickets
cost R5 and prizes include R20 000 Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarket vouchers or an XR125cc Honda from Auto Motorcycles or a holiday at
Blanco Guest Farm for a family of four, is up for grabs. The draw will take place on Sunday 27 November at 3pm after the ticket
sales have been audited and the lucky winners will be contacted on the day.

In 2010, Toy Run® PE managed to raise R146 000 shared across six PE charitable organizations. This year three charities have been
identified namely Missionvale Care Centre, POPS Foundation and Solidarity Helping Hand. These beneficiaries are involving their
organizations with hands on support of the Troy Run® towards raising funds and executing the children’s event. The 20th
Anniversary Committee aims to raise R200 000 for these charities.

It is interesting to note that the raffle has grown from raffling a teddy at R2 to what we raffle today. That is thanks to the
generosity of our sponsors. Sponsors that have already come on board to help in making the 20th Toy Run® event successful include
AlgoaFm, XLR8, Absa, Pick & Pay, Auto Motorcycles, Blanco Guest Farm, Paxton and Humewood Hotel, and Bukani Print to name a few
