The Toy Run 2010 held in Walvis Bay on 28th November 2010 was a huge success.

Date Bars sold :                 85 (including pillions)

Toys handed to :                Rotary Club of Walvis Bay for their Project “Toys For Joy”

Bikers gathered in the parking area of the Raft at the Lagoon in Walvis Bay.  The Playboys had their Day Jol the day before so there were many bikers still in town and they made the effort to join the Toy Run.  This resulted in an awesome Toy Run and wonderful toys for the children.  With escort from the Traffic Department the group of bikers rode through town centre in Walvis Bay and gathered at the Municipality where the Rotarians were waiting to receive the toys.

THANK YOU !!  THANK YOU !!  THANK YOU !!

Dear friends,

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful support at this year’s Toy Run.  We thank all the bikers who made the effort to attend (especially after an exceptionally active Playboys Jol yesterday).  We thank those Windhoek bikers who were initially not aware of our Toy Run but who made the effort to come along with some toys.  We thank those private individuals and business representatives who came along and contributed toys.  We are truly humbled by all these generous and kind gestures.

The Rotary Club of Walvis Bay will ensure that there will be loads of smiles on some less privileged children’s faces.  We filled a 1-ton tuff bag with toys and gifts.
Thank you again.

For those of you who were not able to receive a date-bar badge due to the huge turnout, please don’t worry.  We will order more.  The count was 55 motorbikes, which was the biggest turnout to date.

Yours in biking,

Live To Ride Mcc Walvis Bay

Take care,

Katja
